What is the Twist at the End of 'Safe Haven' by Nicholas Sparks?

I was reading 'Safe Haven' after I checked it out from the library and it was due back so I had to return it. I wanted to renew it but the waiting list was so long that I had to return it. I got about halfway through the book. I don't want to buy it and I know I'm not going to be able to check it back out for a while. One of my friends read it before me and suggested I read it. She said there was a twist at the end but she won't tell me what it is. So just tell me what happens in the end and what the twist is. Thanks in advance. (:
