For a dog kennel, IF ---instead of using either cement, plastic decking panels, or rubber mat--- a wire mesh?

Wire mesh is very hard on a dogs feet. That is what puppy mills use for the poor dogs to walk on. This question makes me wonder why you even have dogs.
