Yes you can get a ticket. You were not in control of your car if you need to skid to a stop, so not to run a red light. keep your head up, and stop a yellows. Can't get a ticket for that. If you also remember, whenever at a stop sign you should be able to see the sign through you windshield, not next to it. so the fact that you felt you were in the intersection probably means you "ran" the light.
